Diabetes and Individual Counseling
For individual counseling, the registered dietitians perform a complete nutrition assessment that includes the patient's metabolic, nutrition and lifestyle factors. Based on this assessment, they help each patient identify practical and achievable nutrition goals and develop an individualized nutrition treatment plan that matches the individual's lifestyle and preferences. Individual counseling services are provided at the Diabetes and Endocrine Center at the Peter M. Wege Center for Health & Learning. Current referrals from physicians include, but are not limited to, the following indications for nutrition education:

- Food Allergies/Sensitivities

- Hyperlipidemia
