Advanced Clinical Career Path
EEG Tech / REEGT
Records electrical activity arising primarily from the brain,
the spinal cord, the peripheral nerves, or the somatosensory
systems. Responsible for the preparation, acquisition, processing
and storage of in-Lab as well as portable studies for the
following: EEG (analog & digital), Ambulatory EEG, Long
Term Monitoring and Evoked Potential. Assists or performs
specialized procedures such as ECOG, WADA, and ECI (brain
death). No formal educational programs in Michigan. Registration
is the goal and can be accomplished through on the job training.
